In order to properly locate your lost Samsung Note 5 phone, you need to have several things in place before you lost your Samsung Note 5 phone. Your lost phone should already have mobile data turned "ON". This is important because it will allow you to track and locate the location of your mobile phone only if this mobile data is turned on. Otherwise you will only get the last known location of the lost phone.
You will also need to know the gmail account that you used in setting up your Samsung Note 5, the first time you setup your new phone. If you have another Samsung android phone, or you can borrow someone's Samsung smart phone to locate your own lost phone. You can install Samsung Find my Mobile app from the google play store or you can install Android device manager both on the other phone which you are holding now. "Lock" option is for If you don't want others to be able to access your lost phone content. This will leave anyone who finds your device a message or a phone number where you can be reached.
"Erase" option is for if you believe that your phone is lost and you won't be able to get it back permanently, then you can erase everything inside the phone content.
