Firstly, you need to check to see if your older TV has a HDMI slot behind it. If your TV has the HDMI slot then you can turn it into a smart TV by using the ROKU streaming stick. It is quite easy to do so. Simply connect the TV and Roku streaming stick using the provided HDMI connection cable. You will then be prompted for setup on WIFI settings. Type in your Wi-Fi details and that is all you need to start using the ROKU streaming stick. Roku streaming stick functions quite like a smart phone where there are apps you can choose to install into it. Once the apps is installed, you just need to start it, by clicking on it using the provided remote control. The remote control provided is rather clumsy and not as user friendly as a smart phone. So instead I suggest that you download the ROKU app in App store (For IPhone) or Play store (For Android phone). With the ROKU app you can actually use your smart phone as the remote control and do tasks much faster this way such as typing in the search movie boxes for YouTube app.
